On December 29, 2007, the court's approval of the settlement became final and effective. This means that Honda will now provide the settlement's benefits to class members. Here is how the different benefits of the settlement will be provided:

• Warranty Extension. The 5% mileage extension on original and extended warranties, Honda/Acura Care service contracts, and Certified Used Honda/Acura warranties will be provided to eligible class members automatically. Class members need not take any action to receive these benefits.
• Reimbursement for "Otherwise Warranted" Repairs. Class members who previously submitted a claim for reimbursement of "otherwise warranted repairs" and whose claim was granted should receive payment shortly. Class members who have not submitted a claim, and believe they are entitled to a refund of the cost of "otherwise warranted repairs," should submit a claim using the "Warranty Claim Form" posted on this website. The claim must be received at the Honda Claim Center (P.O. Box 2902, Torrance, CA 90501) by June 26, 2008.
• AHFC Lease Extension. The 5% lease mileage allowance extension will be provided to class members who lease vehicles from American Honda Finance Corporation ("AHFC") automatically. Class members need not take any action to receive these benefits.
• Reimbursement for AHFC Excess Mileage Charges. Class members who previously leased vehicles from AHFC and are owed a refund or waiver of a portion of their previously determined excess mileage charge should automatically receive their refund shortly. AHFC lessee class members who do not receive a refund by the end of March 2008, but believe they are entitled to one, should submit a claim using the "Excess Mileage Claim Form" posted on this website. The claim must be received at the Honda Claim Center (P.O. Box 2902, Torrance, CA 90501) by June 26, 2008.
• Reimbursement for non-AHFC Excess Mileage Charges. Class members who leased vehicles from other companies, who already submitted a claim for reimbursement of a portion of their excess mileage charge, and whose claim was granted, should receive payment shortly. Other non-AHFC lessee class members who believe they are entitled to an excess mileage charge refund should submit a claim using the "Excess Mileage Claim Form" posted on this website. The claim must be received at the Honda Claim Center (P.O. Box 2902, Torrance, CA 90501) by June 26, 2008 or within 60 days after the lease termination, whichever is later.
